Reading: no homework
Social Studies: Bring your information on your tribe tomorrow, as well as your flashdrive. Some of you are done with your project, bring it so we can conference.

Reading: Page 35 in English workbook. Just write the common nouns  and proper nouns. you don't have to rewrite the sentences.
Social Studies: find out how much your family spends on gas per week and how long between fill-ups.
Writing: the Indian project is due next Monday November 5th.
Tomorrow students can bring in snacks and candy. No costumes in 5th grade.

Reading: No homework
Social Studies- No homework- Obama-Romney facts due on Monday. You can print off the internet and we will put facts together in class. next week you will need to bring in tribe research to begin expository essay.
Writing: No homework- if you are presenting Halloween story tomorrow, the story needs to be on good paper and no mistakes. All stories have to be in on Monday.
If you are dressing in costume no masks, no weapons and no fake blood.

10/23/12 Homework

Reading: No homework. Final test on Maniac Magee on Thursday.
Social Studies: No homework Native American project moved to November 5th. Candidates position on various issue moved to tuesday the 30th.
Writing: Using your five items that you chose to have on a lifeboat describe just a moment of your sage in 2-3 paragraphs.

Homework 10/22/12

Reqading: Please answer the following questions with references, complete sentences and analyzed  from the novel.
1. what was Maniac trying to accomplish by bring mars Bar to the West End? Make the connection between Maniac's plan and culture.

Social Studies: By Friday please have information on the presidential candidates positions on:

healthcare
drilling for oil
(raising the debt ceiling, deficient spending, budget cuts ) taxes
I realize this may be over students head so they can bring information in from the internet and we will discuss on Friday.
Native Americans project should be able to bring information in on tribes on Thursday.

Social Studies: Keep researching indian tribe
Writing: rough draft of Halloween story due Friday.  I am just grading on character development and setting.

Reading: Summarize chapters 26-29, stating the main idea, in two or three sentences.
Social Studies: Lesson review on pg 71, questions 1through 6.

Reading: Read chapter 25 in Maniac Magee
Social Studies: To receive extra credit to improve Ancient American test grade write one page on Ancient Americans, how they migrated to North America and the various tribes.
Native American project due November 1- you can start researching your tribe.
Writing: Review your character and their physical and personality traits. Remember your small may not be my idea of small. Paint me a picture through words.

Reading: Test on chapters 11-21 in Manaic Magee. The following questions are to be done at home and attached to test.

On a separate sheet of paper, please answer each question in complete sentences, using quotations from the novel to support your answer.  Please remember to ANALYZE!
