Reading: Explain and give examples of the themes of The Hidden Girl- survival, courage, hatred, coming of age and righteous.

Social Studies/ Writing project is due Friday on Famous people of WWII or short story.

Reading: timeline using completes sentences for main ideas and events in The Hidden Girl.
Social Studies/Writing: Prologue, or introduction with topic sentences for story or expository.

Homework 5/8/2013

Reading: Read chapter 7 in The Hidden Girl expect a quiz on chapter.

Social Studies/Writing: Social sttudies/writing- The project is due next Friday. Students could choose either writing a short story or write and expository on WWII. Rubrics went home yesterday. Students will have time in class to work on project, but should be gathering information outside of class.

Reading: Read the first  chapter The Hidden Girl. Write a sentence and a situation for the first three vocabulary words. Holocaust, Gestapo and kosher.
