Reading: read up to and including pg. 40 in The Big Wave. Write a two paragraph summary.
Study for the quiz on the lessons 1-8 in the Simple Solution book.

Reading: Finish the vocabulary chart-fill in the definition from the dictionary. find the context clues for the next set of words. Create your own sentences using the vocabulary words.

Math: Answers only in notebook page 3 in workbook. All  questions.

Reading: Complete  pg.47 in volume 1 workbook,
Writing- make corrections on rough draft. Rewrite essay to hand in finish essay on traits tomorrow.

Homework 9/5/2013

Reading: Room 211-Test tomorrow on Earthquake Terror-pages 28-45 in the reader.
Know the vocabulary from the story, the sequence of events and answer question 5 on pg. 46 from the reader.

Question 5 is to be done tonight and attached to the test tomorrow. Remember to restate the question, analyze and support your answer with quotes from the text.


Math- no homework unless you need to work on your response for the problem 26X37. You will only have 15 minutes to work on it tomorrow and then I will collect your journals to grade.

Reading: Character Trait Chart-list four more traits of the main character, Jonathan, list the Evidence and how the traits were revealed;
Writing: Brainstorm about your own personal traits
Math: On pages 32-33 do the following problems-answers only- 4,10,12,16,17,24, and 36

Reading- On a separate piece of paper read page 14 and do page 15 sequencing from Volume 1 of the workbook.
Math- Make two columns label one Standard Form and the other Word Form- write ones-billions in Standard and Word From.
