Social Studies: All Sections do pg. 21 in workbook and find the latitude and longitude of Chicago.
Section 3 bring in pictures of neighborhood and school.

Reading- Read chapters 1-4 in There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom. Summarize chapters. Add to the Character Chart-Bradley, Jeff, Mrs. Ebbel, Claudia and Carla-list physical and emotional traits for each character.

Social Studies- read pgs. 104-107-do Lesson Review on pg. 107, questions 1-7.

English- reread information on Native American, choose 4 items you want to write about list them. We will work on topic sentence and rough draft next week in class. Students do not have to put this in power point.

Reading- Do vocabulary squares for first ten words for the novel There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom. Finish Character /Setting Chart for novel and write a summary of the chapters read today in class.
Social Studies- Sections 1,2, &3 finish Lesson Review on pg. 101.

Homework is due on Thursday.

Reading- no homework
Section 1 & 2 having social studies test tomorrow on pgs. 33-73.
30% of test are questions to be answered tonight for homework. Points will be taken off for sentence fragments and answers not supported by lines from the text.
Section 3 will take test on Wednesday, should start questions tonight.

Reading- compare and contrast the characters  Paul Bunyan and John Henry from the two stories in the reader. pgs. 110 -119. Tell whether the comparisons or contrasts are fact or fiction. From the story John Henry and the Steam Drill pgs. 114-119 give a description of John Henry through John Henry's own dialogue about himself, another character and the narrator of the story.( narrator tells the story not a character)
Remember the sheet on the five books you read is due Friday.
